This place was like home. I miss Chicago very much. It’s been 3 years & I still miss Chicago. My husband travels for work & we’ve been in a few other States & Cities and we have found nothing like the Algonquin apartments. They really felt like home. The light from the wall-to-wall windows was great for my plants they did so well even in the hall way. I just loved the light there. Haven’t found an apartment like it since. If you’re moving to Chicago this is the Apartments you want. Wish I was still there.

My husband and I looked at Algonquin Apartments when we were moving to Hyde Park in August of this year.  Although we ended up choosing a place that was a little closer to campus, it was a tough choice for us. Algonquin has beautiful new renovated units with spacious, awesome kitchens!  There is also accessible transportation around Hyde Park just outside of this complex.  What was tough for us was the lack of storage space in the units.

Our experience with the Resident Services Coordinator (Sabriana) was great, though! She was willing to take us around two different times while we were being indecisive.  She even did a quick version of the tour just after hours because a last minute work obligation forced my husband to show up a little late.  I would recommend checking it out.

This is an amazing building.  I strongly recommend it for the very special layout–big bedroom, kitchen island, tons of storage space–and the location.  The cafe next door, Istria, is the bonus of bonuses.  As is the food truck that’s sometimes open.  I think it’s also nice that it’s split into a bunch of smaller buildings so that you have very few neighbors on your floor and a short wait for the elevator.  However, the total number of people living in all the buildings put together makes it large enough to support residents with goodies like free internet, a gym, and the front desk holding packages.  It’s super well organized and I’m really happy with management.

I moved here after staying in two different buildings in Evanston and this is a ***much**** better deal.  When I was in college at the UofC, I had a friend who lived in Regents and this is a much better building than that.  Newer, nicer interiors for sure.  The quality of life is amazing for the cheap price.  Also, you’re really close to downtown.  I can’t think of anything I dislike about the building (other than wishing they offered covered parking).  It’s all very new-feeling, functional, and beautiful.
