Cuban Restaurant Philadelphia

Romantic and moody, Alma introduces diners to new interpretations of Latin classics such as lechon asado and vaca frita. Expertly muddled mojitos are served up in the laid back, vacation-evoking lounge.

The atmosphere is so nice. The service excellent. The food wonderful. The drinks nice. We had a bone in ribeye which was cooked perfectly. I actually could order a half salad which was plenty. We had the Butcher salad and the Wedge salad. Just a nice romantic night. The perfect way to end a week long trip.

I went here last night with my friends for restaurant week and had a great time. The food was all delicious and there was so much I could barely finish my dessert (not a complaint, I love leftovers). Only negatives for me are that it was very loud in there and sometimes hard to hear my friends across the table, and it was almost too dark which made it hard to read the menu.

I used to work here. The name means “spirit of Cuba”. It’s right in the heart of Philly on the most fabulous shopping row in the city. Make sure you look cute. “Willie” the bartender is quite possibly the most good looking guy in town. He’s the essence of Latino Machismo.
World class dining on three levels. The “Tobacco Room” on the top floor is breathtaking. This place has hosted true ‘Glitteratt’. Stephen Starr may have outdone himself with this place. Make sure you try a “Classic Mojito”.
