Our Umami Burger on Broadway is located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. Catching a show at the Orpheum, enjoying a stay at the nearby Ace Hotel, or simply searching for that mid-week indulgence? Let us help make your evening unforgettable. As the home base for our culinary innovation team, Umami Broadway often features our newest gourmet burgers and menu items before they are available anywhere else. Reclaimed wood, exposed Edison bulbs, and a full bar featuring Umami signature cocktails and craft beers on tap, creates the ideal space to enjoy a post-work drink with coworkers or dine with a group of your closest (or soon to be so) friends at our community table. This place is amazing. When you walk in, you’re hit with a smooth jazz and hip hop mix that helps set the chill atmosphere of the restaurant. There is a full stocked bar with an assortment of cocktails, beers and hard liquor. As you look at the menu, of course there are many burgers to choose from including the impossible burger which is their signature vegan burger. Fries, sweet potato and regular round out the first portion of the menu while alcoholic beverages fill the back. The food came relatively quickly and was delicious. I will return in the future.

This place was outstanding. Unique, quality ingredients. Great atmosphere, and friendly service. The Maple Bacon Fries were out-of-this-world good!…the Ahi Burger was unbelievable too. If I’m ever in the neighborhood again, I’ll be hitting this place up for more…no doubt about it.

A different take on the usual burger and not totally a hipster joint like I was afraid I was walking into. Just down the block from The Orpheum Theater, a great place to eat before a show. A little pricey, but worth it. Will definitely go back.
